Special-needs students deserve to succeed.

Our company was founded by Anne Scroggs, whose youngest son Mitchell is autistic and cognitively impaired.  Mitchell is now in his early twenties. Anne has become a longtime student of Autism Spectrum Disorders and knows firsthand what it means to live day in and day out with autism. Frustrated with the lack of progress her son was making in school, she decided to home school Mitchell for a year. There was a lot of trial and error, but through that year of working with him every day she developed the Creative Teaching CAP products.

When she removed Michell from public schools, he had a vocabulary of approximately 30 words - after six months he increase his vocabulary to 300 words.  At one year, he was reading, writing, speaking in sentences. Today, Mitchell has a vocabulary of more than 1200 words.

Creative Teaching CAP materials are designed to be used at home as well as the classroom. They fill the gap between simple manipulatives and computer-based learning and are meant to be interactive.

Benefits:

  • Our materials give you an opportunity to have regular, successful, fun and meaningful interactions with your special needs child.
  • Creative Teaching CAP products deliver a lot of learning in a small format. They can be easily organized and tucked away in a small space when not in use.
  • Our tools feature bright, engaging colors; simple, uncluttered graphics; and concrete concepts that students can readily master and build upon. Your child will experience success and have fun, too!
  • Our customers have experienced decreases in behavioral issues as their child's communication skills improve.
  • Organizational tools are designed for both classroom and home use. They will help your child learn independence, routine and also to cope with changes in schedules.
